CCL / FA Vase Flashback - Molesey vs. St Francis Rangers

Dusk sky over Walton Road
Back during my first season of watching non league football (2008/09 season) I went to Walton Road for the FA Vase second round tie between Molesey and St Francis Rangers of the Sussex County League. This was Molesey's first season back in the vase following relegation the previous season. This was the away side's first ever season in the vase following their promotion to the Sussex County League Division One. The hosts were having a mixed start to the season sitting in mid table.

View from the stand.
I don't remember a lot of this game in all honesty. As far as I remember, Molesey were comfortable throughout and ran out three nil winners. I did manage to find a detailed report on The St Francis Rangers website.

The stand at Walton Road.
The nearest station to Walton Road is Hampton Court which is an half hour trip from Waterloo and the trains depart every half hour. The ground is about a twenty minute walk from the station or you can get the 411 bus from outside the station to the ground. I remember the clubhouse being very good.

Covered stand behind one of the goals.
