Changing rooms at Westhumble |
The rain wreaked havoc one New Year’s Day and I didn’t fancy
travelling almost two and a half hours to Wroxham so I went without a game.
Luckily, Dorking Wanderers Surrey Senior cup tie against the Metropolitan
Police the next day survived the storms. The visitors took an early lead when the
ball was crossed in to the box and the forward was left to put the ball home.
They double their lead on the break after Wanderers lose the ball in midfield.
The second half is a lot more even and Wanderers take the game to the visitors.
In the later part of the game the Police keeper makes a couple of smart saves to
ensure his side’s progression in to the next round.

What a great blog! I am developing the Groundhopper app, and after adding level 9 in England, I am looking for photos to follow each ground. I found some really nice shots on your blog, and wonder if I could use some of them in the app. You/your blog will of course be fully credited. Look forward to hearing from you. All the best, Geir.
