Scunthorpe went in this game top of the league and Dagenham were at the foot of the form table. It was therefore set up for a convincing home win. In a scrappy first half Scunthorpe go one up with a Sam Winnall goal. In the second half further goals from Paul Hayes and Deon Burton put the Iron three up. Dagenham then get back in to the game with an absolute screamer and I begin to fear the worst. Dagenham get a second and shortly afterwards an intense thunder storm steams in and eventually leads the referee to bring the players off with five minutes to go. The rain finally stops and Dagenham get the inevitable equaliser. As much as Scunthorpe took their foot off the gas you have to give major credit to Dagenham and they are deservedly clapped off by the travelling fans.
