150th Ground - Bedfont Sports vs. Westfield

After watching a few older clubs in recent weeks, I went to watch relatively new Bedfont Sports at home to Westfield in the Combined Counties League Division One. The home side only gained senior status in 2009 and have more than held their own at their new level. Despite riding high in the league Bedfont's management team recently left the club and this game is the first for the new management team.

View towards the dugout.
Bedfont are dominant from the start and score two fantastic goals in the first half hour. Both sides struggle with the heavy rain which persisted throughout the game (hence the photos all being taken from one angle). This is highlighted as the Bedfont goalkeeper drops a cross in to his own net to give Westfield hope. The second half is much of the same, although Westfield do hit the woodwork. Bedfont end up running out 5-2 winners.

A Westfield free kick is delivered in to the box.

The closest station to the ground is Hatton Cross which is on the Piccadilly Line which is around a forty minute ride from Central London. The ground is then a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride from outside the station. The clubhouse is a decent size and friendly enough. If you do want to visit a pub before the game there is the Green Man which is on Green Man Lane. This is five minutes from the station and about ten minutes from the ground.

The other end of the ground complete with welcome.
